Knowing the Right People

They say “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know”.

I cannot but (finally and after having ruminated the question for years) wholeheartedly agree.

Some of my greatest ideas and projects went nowhere because I didn’t know the right people yet. And some complicated deals went ever so smoothly simply because I knew the “person in charge”.

In my 30 years in business, this famous quote that my father kept repeating to me ever since I was a teenager, is probably the single most potent business lesson that I have learnt.

At the end of the day and no matter what technological miracles are conceived, people do business with people.

The greatest deals in the world are sealed by a simple handshake (as some are broken over simple personal animosity).

We at Blackhawk Partners have carefully but surely been building our contact network the world over.

I humbly believe that the network we have built is not only incredibly extensive and far-reaching globally but is also one of the company’s greatest assets way ahead of any physical asset we own or ever will. Same goes for sound advice. It’s a priceless asset when professionally and effectively conveyed.

Good advice and targeted connections can make the whole difference and often do. That’s why I love advising and backing people and companies to the best of my knowledge and reach out to the sharpest minds all across the world.

And the more I do, the more I learn, the more fascinating people I meet and the more effective I get… It’s a snowball effect.

For the sake of full disclosure, I like to push the envelope in everything I undertake… I am a maverick and “game changer” in the truest sense of the word, and I strongly believe everything is possible hence I never ever surrender.

I avoid though – like a plague – negative people who emanate negative vibes and I have a knack of detecting bullshit and bullshit artists a mile away.

If you think what you have what it takes to be a “game changer” and can accept me the way I am, give me a call but be then ready for the roller coaster of your life.

Have a great day.
